Xandor (Balu Gidran 40)

Xandor is a striking and talented Hungarian Warmblood import whose journey through the eventing world has been nothing short of remarkable. Imported from Hungary as a young horse, he found his way into the yard of William Fox-Pitt, where he gained valuable experience and was produced through the levels by one of the sport’s most respected riders.

Over time, Xandor’s path led him to me, and together we built a partnership that shaped my early eventing career. From 2023 to 2025, he competed consistently up to 100 level, delivering a string of good results and proving himself as a reliable, honest, and generous teammate.

Xandor was the horse who taught me how to truly ride, compete, and think like an eventer. He gave me confidence, mileage, and countless lessons that I will carry throughout my career. Although I eventually needed a horse with more scope and ability to progress further up the levels, Xandor’s impact on my development as a rider is something I will always value.

He is a horse with history, heart, and character — and a huge part of the foundation of my eventing journey. However, in 2025 he moved on to teach his next companion how the job was done.
